Recipe for Cluster Beans/Titkio Mitkio/Gavaar Bhaji without Coconut

Ingredients
- 500 Gms Cluster Beans (either hand broken or Cut into 1 inch sized pieces)
- 1 Large Potato (cut into cubes)
- 2 Medium sized Onions (chopped fine)
- 1 Medium sized Tomato (chopped fine)
- 2 Green Chillies (chopped fine)
- 1/2 Tspn Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 Tspn Chilly Powder
- 4-5 Curry leaves
- 1 Tspn Vinegar
- 1/2 Tspn Sugar (optional)
- Salt (as per taste)
- 3-4 Sprigs Fresh Coriander (chopped fine)
- 1/4 Cup Water
- 1 Tspn Oil
Instructions
- In a vessel, add all the ingredients mentioned above(except fresh coriander) , mix it well, cover the vessel with a lid and place it on medium flame
- After about 10 minutes, open and check that the water hasn’t dried off. Give it a mix and cover the vessel. Of the water has dried off, add a tbspn of water
- Allow this to cook until the potatoes are fully cooked
- Once the potatoes are fully cooked, add the fresh coriander and mix it well
- Turn the flame to high and allow the water to dry out completely
- Once the water dries out, turn off the gas flame and enjoy your Bhaji nice and hot either with some Hot Chapatis or as a side dish to a wholesome meal!
