Ingredients
- 1/2 litre milk
- 2 tbspn milk
- 2 tbspn Custard powder
- 2.5 tbsp Sugar(or more if you like it sweeter)
- 1 apple(peeled and cut into small pieces)
- 1 gms Black grapes(cut into quarters)
- 100 gms Papaya(peeled and cut into small pieces)
- 3-4 Chickoo peeled and cut into small pieces(if its available)
- 1 Banana (peeled and cut into small pieces)
- 1 Mango (peeled and cut into small pieces)
- You can add the fruits of your choice
Instructions
- In a small bowl, add 2 tbspn milk and 2 tbspn Custard powder and mix it well till all the powder gets diluted in the milk
- In a vessel, add 1/2 litre milk and 2.5 tbspn of Sugar(or more) and place it on Medium flame
- Once the Milk begins to boil, lower the heat and pour the custard and milk liquid into the boiling milk, little by little and continue stirring with the balloon whiskNote:- This step is very important to attain a smooth texture to your custard. The balloon whisk helps in breaking down lumps if any or avoiding any lumps to formAlso, if you pour the custard mix at all once, or too quickly, the custard will become lumpy
- Keep whisking until the custard begins to boil
- Once the Custard begins to boil, turn off the flame and keep it aside to cool at room temperatureNote:- if you're not going to add fruits, you can pour the hot custard into glass/metal/ceramic bowls and allow it to cool and then refrigerate the custard
- Once the custard is completely cool, add in the chopped fruits Notes:- Cut the fruits as soon as you're ready to transfer them into the custard. This will prevent the fruits from getting oxidized. If you dont wish to add any fruits, you can put a lid on the custard vessel, and tuck it into the refrigerator and enjoy it once its chilled
- Give it a nice stirNote:- Don't worry if the custard looks too thick. Once it's refrigerated along with the fruits, the juices from the fruits will be released into the custard and the custard won't remain as thick.
- Put a lid on and Tuck it into the refrigerator for 6-8 hours for it to get chilled
- Once chilled, serve and enjoy this simple, yet super delish flavour packed Fruit custard!
